Machine Assembly Technician (Direct Hire)
Location: Farmington, CT
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday + OT as needed)
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00+/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Join our team as a Machine Assembly Technician and help bring cutting-edge technology to life. In this hands-on role, you will assemble high-precision machinery and ensure each system meets strict quality and performance standards. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with complex equipment in a high-tech manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and parts lists

  • Use precision tools including torque wrenches, dial indicators, depth gauges, and digital levels to achieve tight tolerances

  • Utilize fixtures and proper assembly techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Operate overhead cranes to safely move and position heavy machine components

  • Read, interpret, and work in both imperial and metric measurement systems

  • Maintain clean, organized work areas following Lean manufacturing (5S) principles

  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE at all times

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and suggestions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of assembly experience OR 5 years of manufacturing, machine build, maintenance, or service experience

  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and simple schematics

  • Experience using precision measuring tools

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks

  • Electrical wiring assembly experience is a plus

  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus

  • Basic computer literacy preferred
