Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Chantilly, VA- Onsite
Duration: 3 months with possible extensions
Pay: $29-$33/hr. (depending on experience)
Shift: 9-80 Schedule – 2nd Shift -3:30pm to 1:00am Monday-Thursday (9 hours +30-minute lunch) and a rotating Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.
Job Description:
- The Test Technician is responsible for conducting various tests, inspections, and troubleshooting activities on products, equipment, or systems to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements.
- Their primary role is to assess the performance, functionality, and reliability of the subject under test.
- We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our clients team and contribute to our product quality assurance process.
- The Test Technician will be responsible for conducting tests, inspections, and troubleshooting activities on our products or systems to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
- This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various tests and inspections on products, equipment, or systems according to established test procedures and standards.
- Set up and calibrate test equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurements.
- Record test data, observations, and results accurately and promptly.
- Identify and document any defects, malfunctions, or deviations from specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to analyze test results and make necessary adjustments or improvements.
- Maintain and update test equipment, tools, and fixtures as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in the development and improvement of test procedures and processes.
- Adhere to quality control standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Will be moving product thru our testing process to include Vibe
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Test Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of testing methodologies and procedures.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Proficient in using computer software for data recording and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding quality control principles and practices.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Will be working 2nd shift to ensure we are maximizing our test equipment resources for the increased demand on both Edge and Secure programs / products.
- This shift will run from 3:30pm to 1:00am M-Thur (9 hours +30 minute lunch) and a rotating Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.
