Porter / Janitor – Pooler, GA
Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Overview:
Porters are crucial in keeping the GMP zone of the factory clean, safe, and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock handwashing and water stations regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors and walls in common areas.
- Collect and remove trash from common spaces.
- Manage bulk deliveries, refilling and distributing chemicals as needed.
- Replace cleaning tools as required.
- Complete tasks assigned through the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Follow all GMP guidelines and report any food safety issues promptly.
- Always wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Report safety incidents and comply with all Company, Plant, OSHA, and EPA policies.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Self-driven, reliable, highly organized, and safety-oriented.
- Able to stand and work efficiently in a busy environment for up to twelve hours.
- Capable of lifting, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Dedicated to practicing safe work habits.
- Willingness to learn how to operate forklifts and floor scrubbers.
Skills & Education:
- Excellent communication, organization, and listening skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Work Environment:
Work is performed on the production floor, which includes handling chemicals frequently.
