Exciting Expansion – Maintenance Technician Opportunity (Denton, TX)
A pet food production facility in Denton, TX is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone with mechanical and electrical expertise who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Position:
You will be instrumental in keeping our industrial equipment operating smoothly and safely. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with production managers to resolve equipment issues, minimize downtime, and schedule repairs as needed. Flexibility is key as our operation continues to expand!
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance checks, start-ups and installations on a variety of production machinery
- Address urgent breakdowns and prioritize tasks to maintain efficient workflow
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules; interface with contractors as needed
- Monitor and ensure proper functioning of plant support systems (refrigeration, compressed air, water systems, etc.)
- Evaluate equipment, analyze performance, and proactively identify potential issues
- Maintain accurate documentation including logs, checklists, and reports
- Research and recommend improvements to boost reliability and effectiveness
- Communicate and collaborate with management and team members for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Hands-on background with commercial manufacturing equipment (PLCs, packaging lines, food production machinery, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Vocational or trade school education in industrial maintenance or related field highly preferred
- Clear communication and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule—willing to support overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if driving for the company

Schedule & Work Environment:
- Support teams in various production areas including packaging and meat processing
- 12-hour shifts following a 2-2-3 schedule (rotating days and alternating weekends off)
- Initial training will be weekdays from 7am–4pm; schedule may shift as operations expand
