Kelly Engineering is hiring a Project Manager for a long-term contract at a premier Medical Device Optical Solutions Mfg. client in Milpitas, CA. 
Our client is well-known as one of the largest and most innovative medical device and optical solutions companies in the world today.  This location specializes in optometric equipment.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Project Manager to assist and support a strategic relocation project involving two leading medical device companies. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of facility integration, ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency during the transition with minimal disruption to ongoing operations for both organizations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: end-to-end management of the project, including detailed planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a liaison between both companies, as well as internal teams, external vendors, and contractors.

  • Move Coordination: Develop and execute comprehensive move plans for personnel, equipment, and sensitive materials, minimizing downtime and disruption.

  • Facilities Integration: Assess and manage the integration of workspace, laboratories, cleanrooms, warehouses, and shared amenities, ensuring alignment with both companies’ requirements and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Communication & Alignment: Maintain clear and consistent communication and alignment with stakeholders, providing status updates, project timelines, and issue escalation as needed.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities operations meet FDA, ISO, and other relevant medical device industry standards and guidelines.

  • Change Management: Support teams through the physical and operational transition, including orientation to new spaces and updated procedures.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee selection and performance of service providers for moving, construction, and facilities services.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status updates, dashboards, and post-move effectiveness reports to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.

  • 3-10 years max of experience in project management roles, ideally within life sciences, healthcare, or medical device environments.

  • Proven track record managing complex facility or relocation projects involving regulated environments.

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams and leadership.

  • Thorough understanding of industry-specific facility requirements, including GMP, EHS, and quality standards.

  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

  • This role will require on-site, full-time presence 

  • Travel between company locations may be required.
