Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
Direct Hire | 30-35/hr
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of industrial maintenance functions under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and control systems, including high-voltage equipment and Allen-Bradley PLCs, to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment and industrial electronic control systems.

  • Maintain, install, set up, and troubleshoot DC and AC variable frequency drives.

  • Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and CompactLogix controllers.

  • Utilize test equipment effectively for diagnostics and repairs.

  • Interpret and work from mechanical prints, electrical line diagrams, and relay logic.

  • Perform basic maintenance on air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.

  • Carry out additional maintenance and repair tasks as assigned, supporting overall facility operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in industrial maintenance, with hands-on expertise in high-voltage industrial electrical systems.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, variable frequency drives, and CNC equipment is required.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints and electrical diagrams.

  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, air compressor, and HVAC systems.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and utilizing standard test equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, push/pull, grasp, kneel, squat, bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and lift up to 50 lbs during the shift.

  • May be exposed to machinery noise, coolants, lubricants, abrasive compounds, electricity, and wiring.

  • Work is performed in an air-conditioned environment.
