Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facility maintenance operations. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing maintenance programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring optimal performance, safety, and longevity of equipment and facilities in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the maintenance department to support operational excellence

  • Oversee repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, equipment, and facility systems

  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies aligned with department vision and long-term goals

  • Build credibility with plant personnel by identifying priorities, communicating solutions, and ensuring timely resolution

  • Structure team schedules and responsibilities to maximize efficiency and productivity

  • Partner with operations teams to reduce emergency downtime and increase planned maintenance activities

  • Manage buildings and grounds to meet safety, compliance, and food safety requirements

  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs and inspection schedules

  • Ensure all equipment meets inspection and certification requirements, including managing third-party resources

  • Promote a strong safety culture across the maintenance team and facility

  • Facilitate shift handoffs, safety meetings, and communication processes between maintenance teams

  • Manage and coordinate external contractors, including scope, specifications, and compliance requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement through TPM, Lean, and reliability initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Food Processing, Industrial Management, or a related technical field
    OR equivalent experience with demonstrated success (actively pursuing a degree preferred)

  • 2–3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or manufacturing

  • Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Proven ability in root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions

  • Demonstrated experience with TPM, OEE, 5S, Kaizen, and center-lining initiatives

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across equipment, systems, and processes

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and team performance

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
