What’s a typical day as Department Assistant? You’ll be:

  • Managing daily operations and maintaining departmental schedules

  • Preparing, proofreading, and editing documentation, reports, and academic materials

  • Ensuring compliance by maintaining confidential patient and personnel records according to HIPAA and university policies

  • Liaising with insurance companies to verify coverage and process pre-authorizations

  • Handling payment requests, purchase orders, and reimbursement processing

  • Coordinating credentialing and licensure tracking for faculty and residents

  • Serving as a primary point of contact and providing excellent customer service to students, patients, and staff
