Job Title: Sit-Down Forklift Operator (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Kent, WA
Pay: $23.50 per hour
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team in Kent, WA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for permanent placement after 3 months for strong performers. Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Start times: 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Overtime required as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down forklift (Toyota/Mitsubishi) safely and efficiently
- Load and unload freight directly from delivery docks
- Scan incoming and outgoing shipments using RF scanners
- Read and interpret billing manifests and shipping documents
- Accurately record product weights, measurements, and other details by hand
- Perform general warehouse duties, including physical material handling
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of sit-down forklift experience required
- Experience with freight loading/unloading preferred
- Familiarity with RF scanners and shipping manifests
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and legible handwriting skills
- Ability to perform physical work in a warehouse environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Dress Code:
- Long jeans required
- Steel-toe footwear required
- No sweatpants
