Freeze Dried Room Technician

Location: Denton, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time | $20/hr | Multiple Openings
Join our Denton, TX team as a Freeze Dried Room Technician and help ensure the quality and safety of our freeze dried products! We’re hiring multiple candidates for this essential role within our production operations.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $20 per hour

  • Shift: 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00am – 6:00pm (Enjoy every other weekend off!)

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and inspect freeze dried raw materials, ingredients, and packaging for compliance with quality standards and regulations.

  • Collect and analyze samples throughout the freeze drying process to ensure product safety, consistency, and quality.

  • Perform basic tests (such as moisture content and other quality metrics) and accurately record results in our lab system.

  • Maintain calibrated test equipment and ensure the freeze dried room is clean and organized.

  • Assist with sanitation audits of freeze dried equipment and work collaboratively to resolve any issues.

  • Support the preparation for customer, regulatory, and internal audits related to freeze dried products.

  • Maintain detailed inspection and production reports for freeze dried operations.

  • Collaborate with team members and management to troubleshoot processes and participate in root cause investigation of any quality issues.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in the freeze dried area.

Who We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or production preferred.

  • Experience with freeze drying, food processing, or quality control is a plus.

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel locally as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work onsite in the freeze dried room at our Denton facility.

  • Physical activity required, including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Plant environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Ability to safely perform tasks in a temperature-controlled room.
