Assembly Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Fairview, NC
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)
Pay Rate: $17.61/hour
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Our Client is a global leader in manufacturing Relays and Switches for the Aerospace industry. We are seeking motivated candidates for the position of Assembly Operator I at our Fairview, NC facility. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components according to detailed work instructions and drawings.
- Use microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures for precise assembly tasks.
- Understand and inspect products using quality standards and measurement devices (such as calipers and gauges).
- Perform pull tests and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.
- Complete required operational paperwork to ensure product traceability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company’s EH&S policies.
- Follow all company and departmental guidelines, policies, and safety procedures.
- Support production goals by being available for overtime when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to interpret blueprints are highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Experience with measuring devices (e.g., calipers, gauges) preferred.
- Physically able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and operate necessary machinery.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and move between work zones as needed.
- Proficiency in understanding and following written instructions in English.
Additional Requirements:
This position involves access to information regulated by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
