Harvest Lift Truck Operator
First Shift: 7am – 330 PM
Rate – 19.25 / hr
Seasonal role duration – August 17th through Mid-October (tentative)
Under general supervision, the Lift Truck/Forklift Driver operates a lift truck to move materials throughout the stages of Harvest. The position follows standard work and safety methods, practices and procedures in support of an efficient and safe production environment at the Canandaigua Winery.
• Receives inbound grape deliveries from delivery trucks using rotating forklift truck in outdoor crush area.
• Empties grapes into Harvest auger and returns empty bins to delivery truck
• Maintains records for review, accuracy and audit purposes.
• Performs daily safety checks and maintenance of powered lift, to include but not limited to fueling, washing and greasing.
• Performs duties to maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Responsible for compliance with Canandaigua Winery sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.
• Follows safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
