Job Description
Purpose:
As an Associate Machine Operator, you will produce parts that meet requirements using manual and/or automated equipment, following established procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate various manual and CNC machines already set up with defined processes
- Follow written and verbal instructions; read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings (training provided)
- Identify machining or manufacturing issues to ensure defect-free parts
- Perform measurements using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Learn and perform basic preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machines
- Maintain production rates established for each operation
- Complete additional duties or special projects as assigned
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic blueprint or mechanical drawing reading skills
- Basic shop math understanding
- Ability to operate production machinery and measuring equipment accurately
- Strong attention to detail for quality and compliance
Work Experience
- 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic metrology (calipers, micrometers) experience preferred
