Kelly Services is hiring an experienced Electronic Test Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing organization in Kearny, NJ.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repair work and is comfortable diagnosing electronic assemblies down to the component level.
Location: Kearny, NJ
Employment Type: Direct Hire
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $24.00–$28.00/hr
Overtime: Available as needed
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Electronic Test Technician, you’ll support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of subassemblies and finished electronic products used in industrial and technical applications.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Perform electrical testing on manufactured products and assemblies
- Troubleshoot electronic and electrical failures down to the component level
- Repair subassemblies and completed assemblies as needed
- Perform product and system preventive maintenance
- Conduct verification checks on electronic test instruments
- Investigate failed components and determine the source of electrical issues
- Use electrical test equipment such as:
- Voltmeters
- Hi-Pot testers
- Ratiometers
- Other electronic diagnostic equipment
- Voltmeters
- Document test results and inspection findings
- Develop or assist with test and inspection procedures
- Work closely with production and Quality teams to address product concerns
- Follow established safety and testing procedures
- Identify and communicate quality concerns affecting products or processes
- Maintain accurate testing and repair documentation
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to testing and product reliability
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Electronics preferred
- OR at least 2 years of equivalent hands-on electronics or electrical testing experience
- Experience performing electrical testing in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies and components
- Experience using voltmeters, multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, or similar electrical test equipment
- Ability to read and follow test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable documenting test results and repair findings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
Preferred Experience
- Component-level troubleshooting
- Electronic assembly repair
- Preventive maintenance
- Electrical verification testing
- Writing test or inspection procedures
- Experience with Siemens power configurations
- Manufacturing Quality systems
- Electronic or electrical technical training
