Kelly Services is partnering with Kennametal to fill In Process Inspector positions
Location: Orwell, OH
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22-$26/hrly, depending on experience
8 hour shifts

A Premier Manufacturing Client is seeking a dedicated In Process Inspector who can work among work centers throughout the shift to perform quality checks on manufactured parts. Inspections include visual review and dimensional measurements to confirm compliance with established standards and specifications. The inspector may also sort orders for defects and conduct job audits as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Floor In Process Inspections: Move through multiple machining cells and inspect parts in real time for conformance to specifications and visual requirements.
• Quality Audits: Perform in-process and outgoing product and process audits according to checklist requirements.
• Specification and Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints for dimensional requirements and tolerances. Inspect parts according to written requirements and visual reference standards.
• Inspection Tool Usage: Perform visual inspections using microscopes and measure parts using drop gauges and calipers.
• Defect Control: Separate nonconforming parts and document defects and other nonconformances.
• Communication: Review inspection criteria with operators and escalate quality concerns to a supervisor or engineer.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Background in precision machining, manufacturing, or quality control.
• Technical Skills: Strong math skills, the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications, and experience using inspection tools.
• Mobility: Ability to stand and walk throughout the production floor during the shift.
• Quality Standards: Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 is a plus.
• Computer Skills: Previous experience entering data into computer systems.

- Repetitive work
- Controlled temperature manufacturing facility with dust collection systems – part of the building cold temperature
- Personal protective equipment required (safety glasses with side-shields, safety shoes, gloves as needed).
