Order Selector / Warehouse Associate

Location: Reno, NV
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Work Setting: Onsite, dry warehouse

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Order Selector / Warehouse Associate to join a collaborative warehouse team in Reno, Nevada. This position is responsible for accurately selecting products, building customer orders, labeling and palletizing merchandise, and preparing completed pallets for shipment.

The ideal candidate has experience operating a reach truck, stock picker, and electric pallet jack. Candidates with at least one year of warehouse or order-selection experience are preferred, but training will be provided to qualified individuals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including:
  

  • Reach truck
    

  • Stock picker
    

  • Electric pallet jack
    

  • RF scanner or labeling unit
    

  
  

• Select the correct products from warehouse racks according to customer orders.
  

• Use RF technology to create and apply accurate product labels.
  

• Build stable pallets following proper selecting and palletizing procedures, including:
  

  • Placing heavier products on the bottom
    

  • Avoiding heavy-on-light stacking
    

  • Keeping labels visible and facing outward
    

  • Maintaining safe and secure pallet configurations
    

  
  

• Transport completed pallets to the correct dock location for loading.
  

• Stage orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
  

• Stretch-wrap completed pallets on the loading dock.
  

• Verify product, quantity, labels, and pallet integrity before staging.
  

• Complete required pre- and post-use inspections of assigned equipment.
  

• Maintain and safely use all required equipment and personal protective equipment.
  

• Assist with warehouse cleaning and truck lumping, as needed.
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  

• Follow all company safety procedures, warehouse policies, and shipping requirements.
  

• Work until assigned products are accurately selected and prepared for shipment, based on daily operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
  

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to job duties and safety instructions.
  

• Basic arithmetic and counting skills.
  

• Ability to consistently arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.
  

• Ability to work at a steady pace in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  

• Ability to meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
  

• Ability to safely operate, or learn to operate, a reach truck, stock picker, and electric pallet jack.
  

• Ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and contribute to a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more of warehouse, order-selection, picking, shipping, or distribution-center experience.
  

• Previous experience operating a reach truck, stock picker, and electric pallet jack.
  

• Experience using RF scanners, RF labeling systems, or warehouse management systems.
  

• Experience building and wrapping pallets for shipment.

Training

Training will be provided on warehouse procedures, equipment operation fundamentals, safety requirements, and RF technology. The length of training will vary based on the individual’s experience and ability to learn the position.

Team Environment

The warehouse team is experienced and collaborative, with most team members having four or more years of tenure. This is a hands-on, team-oriented environment where safety, accuracy, productivity, and reliability are important.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Work in a dry, non-refrigerated warehouse; no freezer or refrigerated work is required.
  

• Lift and handle products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  

• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
  

• Work around warehouse racks, pallets, trucks, and powered industrial equipment.
  

• Wear required personal protective equipment.
  

• Occasional overtime may be requested based on business needs, although no regular overtime or weekend work is currently planned.
