Direct Hire
Location: South Deerfield, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. ET (2nd shift)
Salary: $88,000–$92,000 annually + $3,000 shift differential
Annual Bonus: 8%
What’s a typical day as a Production Supervisor? You’ll be:
- Directing production schedules, work assignments, and priorities to meet demand and delivery requirements
- Leading shift meetings, monitoring department KPIs, and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and lead time
- Implementing Lean methods and 5S/6S initiatives to boost productivity and equipment performance
- Promoting a safe work environment by conducting safety audits and leading injury investigations
- Ensuring compliance with ISO/ITAR requirements and documentation standards
- Coaching and developing Production Department Leads and team members to promote accountability and operational ownership
- Overseeing training documentation, cross-training, recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews
- Monitoring equipment and tool use, ensuring proper cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- Communicating real-time updates on production results and progress toward goals
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have an Associate degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
- Bring 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including direct leadership or supervisory experience
- Possess experience with Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, coaching, and decision-making skills
- Are proficient in SAP (material movements, scrap, demand, BOMs, routings, and cost management) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Can read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedure documents
- Are hands-on in your leadership approach and committed to driving results and fostering a culture of safety and quality
- (Preferred) Have experience in CNC machining or a machine shop environment, and/or with ISO/ITAR-controlled processes
