We’re seeking skilled Electrical Panel Technicians to fabricate, assemble, wire, and test control panels of varying complexities. This role is ideal for hands-on, mechanically inclined individuals who can read schematics, work with electrical components, and take pride in building quality control systems. Opportunities are available for Electrical Panel Technicians levels 2 and 3, with responsibilities and technical complexity increasing based on experience, training, and demonstrated proficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Modify electrical enclosures using hand tools and machinery, fabricate brackets and custom doors, and layout back panels and doors according to schematics and company standards.
  

• Install and wire electrical devices, control components, and other equipment while following company, industry, and applicable UL standards.
  

• Build and wire control panels of varying complexity, including relay-based panels, PLC-based panels, HMIs, VFDs, reduced-voltage starters, communication equipment, MCC components, and power distribution equipment based on technician level.
  

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including checking off and marking up production drawings, tracking project progress, identifying errors, and providing First Time Quality (FTQ) feedback.
  

• Perform quality assurance and functional testing to verify control panels and systems operate as designed and meet applicable UL and company standards.
  

• Verify bills of material, equipment, spare parts, and loose parts kits; identify discrepancies, ensure components are complete and properly labeled, and coordinate corrections before shipment.
  

• Complete required testing documentation, schematic checkoffs, photographs, and electronic records to maintain a complete audit trail for each project.
  

• Communicate with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Production teams, and other departments to resolve project issues; advanced technicians may assist with field installations, complex fabrication, engineering concerns, and mentoring or supporting lower-level technicians.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand tools, machinery, and equipment for panel fabrication and assembly.
  

• Ability to read and follow electrical schematics, production drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  

• Panel-building, electrical assembly, wiring, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing experience; training or entry-level experience may be considered for Technician I.
  

• Knowledge of electrical panel construction, including wire sizing, bending radius requirements, terminal labeling, wire numbering, and installation of electrical components.
  

• Understanding of applicable UL requirements and standards for control panel assembly, with increasing knowledge expected at Technician II and III levels.
  

• Ability to assemble and wire increasingly complex systems, including relay-based controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, communication equipment, MCC components, and power distribution equipment based on experience level.
  

• Ability to use or learn IFS to identify missing BOM items, track project materials, and support production documentation and inventory requirements.
  

• Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and quality assurance skills, with the ability to identify potential space, material, or design issues and work with engineering or supervision to resolve them.
