Assembly Operator

Location: Taunton, MA
Shift: 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Sunday–Thursday
Pay: $22.06

About the role

Assemble and prepare products according to work orders, customer specifications, and quality guidelines. Follow established safety procedures and manufacturing practices while working efficiently and minimizing scrap.

What you’ll do

  • Follow product specifications and quality guidelines to produce acceptable finished products safely.

  • Read and use work orders, Bills of Materials, routing documents, drawings, and product specifications.

  • Use measuring and inspection tools, including rulers, Tappi charts, and Go/No-Go gauges.

  • Set up branding equipment and brand coils to specification.

  • Load, unload, and program post-cure ovens using the specified cycle.

  • Operate spooling and tube-rinsing equipment according to procedures.

  • Assemble pump sets to specification.

  • Clean and package products, including molded products.

  • Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records as directed.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), operating procedures, workplace safety guidelines, and company policies.

  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE), keep the work area clean, and perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

  • One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Basic math and measuring skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

  • Ability to understand work orders and product specifications.

  • Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with others.

  • Ability to work with cleaning solutions, such as isopropyl alcohol.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Physical and work environment

The role may involve close visual inspection, distinguishing colors, measuring and assembling small or detailed items, and frequent use of fingers and hands. Work may require sustained standing or sitting, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements. Employees may need to communicate and receive instructions verbally.

Occasional exposure may include extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, dirt, chemicals, noise, moving equipment, confined areas, poor lighting, hazardous materials, or vibration. Required safety equipment and clothing must be worn. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
